Ancient Remedies for the Socially Distanced.......listening to beautiful music.
I just uploaded a beautiful new playlist of music from my home studio created during July and August 2020 .I continue my daily practice of music as medicine, trying to learn how to listen and play, and occasionally record these explorations at home along the Blue Ridge.
This collection includes tracks with my saxophones, bass flute and alto flute, as well as piano and virtual world orchestrations. These gentle and simple pieces are a form of wordless prayer. Improvisational and spontaneous. A little glimpse of the flow of life as I heard it in the moment. I am playing all instruments. Little or no editing has been done to the tracks.
This is simple, slow down, homegrown, sustainably harvested music to create a soothing atmosphere of peace and to guide the listener toward "the unknown remembered gate " of mystery and Divine presence. May this music uplift you and connect you to heart, the place where healing starts.

Musician Scott Sheerin is a wind player and holistic healer living in the ancient rainforest mountains of western North Carolina. His background includes Traditional Chinese Medicine, Huichol Traditional Medicine and years of devotional music in Siddha Yoga Ashrams around the world. He has created dozens of albums as an effective aid in healing rooms, yoga therapy and meditation as well as performing live devotional and ceremonial music at spiritual healing retreats throughout North America. Playing deep toned silver flutes, reed instruments and keyboards he weaves nature sounds into a soothing tapestry of peace.
